Dollar Mixed Ahead Of US Housing Starts Data

New York (Dec 18)  The Commerce Department is scheduled to release its housing starts report for November at 8:30 am ET. Economists expect housing starts to come in at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 925,000, while building permits are estimated at 995,000.

The US dollar showed mixed performance ahead of the report. While the greenback edged lower against the pound, it drifted higher against the rest of majors. As of 8:25 am ET, the US dollar was trading at 103.05 against the yen, 0.8887 against the Swiss franc, 1.6365 against the pound and 1.3740 against the euro.
