Gold prices rises as dollar edges lower

Mumbai-India (Dec 29)  Gold prices rose 0.37% to reach $1072.20 per ounce on Tuesday, backed by the dollar decline. 

The metal lost 1% in Christmas week, declining 10% since the beginning of this year.

Other precious metals grew 0.66% to $13.97 per ounce, while Palladium gained 0.98% to reach $556.70 per ounce. Platinum levelled up 0.36% to stand at $886.25 per ounce.

The dollar declined fell 0.08% to 97.91 against a basket of major currencies as U.S. bond yields declined.
