Silver futures up 0.11 per cent on short-covering

New Delhi-India (July 30)   Silver futures prices today rose by 0.11 per cent to Rs 44,316 per kg as speculators built fresh positions amid covering-up of short positions.

 At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 47, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 44,316 per kg in business turnover of 335 lots.

 On similar lines, the white metal for delivery in far-month December contracts traded Rs 23, or 0.05 per cent.
