Silver price leaps 31 cents to highest level since last November

London (Feb 14) Silver rose to $21.07 an ounce in London, the highest since Nov. 12. Prices have risen for 11 days and are up 7.5 percent this year after tumbling 36 percent in 2013.

Platinum and palladium headed for their longest advances since July, rising for a sixth and eighth day, respectively. Platinum rose 0.5 percent to $1,425.75 an ounce. Palladium gained 0.2 percent to $734.50 an ounce. Platinum for April delivery rose 0.7 percent to $1,426.10 and the March palladium contract climbed 0.3 percent to $733.45 an ounce in New York.
