Silver rates spike on robust foreign trends

New Delhi-India (Mar 6)  Silver prices moved up by Rs 87 to Rs 48,186 per kg in futures trade today, largely driven by a firming trend overseas. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July moved up by Rs 87, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 48,186 per kg in business turnover of 3 lots.
 

Similarly, the white metal for delivery in May rose by Rs 44, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 47,256 per kg in 372 lots. Market analysts
attributed the rise in silver prices at futures trade to a firming trend in the global markets. Meanwhile, silver rose as much as 0.20 per
cent to US$ 21.21 an ounce in Singapore today.
