US Dollar Advances Against Most Majors

Brussels (July 22)   The US dollar strengthened against most major currencies in the early European session on Tuesday.

The US dollar rose to 4-day highs of 0.8671 against the NZ dollar and 1.3504 against the euro, from early lows of 0.8690 and 1.3528, respectively. At yesterday's close, the greenback was trading at 0.8686 against the kiwi and 1.3522 against the euro.

Against the Swiss franc and the pound, the greenback edged up to 0.8987 and 1.7065 from early lows of 0.8976 and 1.7082, respectively. The greenback closed yesterday's deals at 0.8978 against the franc and 1.7073 against the pound.

If the greenback extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.34 against the euro, 0.90 against the franc, 1.69 against the pound and 0.84 against the kiwi.
