China stocks tumble after disappointing economic data

Beijing (Sept 14)  The Mainland China's stock market finished the session lower in volatile trading on Monday, 14 September 2015, as weaker than expected economic data, overshadowing a plan to overhaul state-owned enterprises. The Shanghai Composite Index dropped 2.67%, or 85.44 points, to 3114.80 points. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, stumbled 6.65%, or 118.46 points, to 1662.89. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, sank 7.49%, or 154.29 points, to close at 1906.21.
