Copper price trades higher on increased demand

Mumbai-India (Oct 3)  Copper traded higher by Rs 3 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today owing to pickup in demand from consuming industries.

 However, other base metals traded in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.

 Traders said pickup in demand from consuming industries influenced copper prices.

 In the national capital, copper mixed scrap rose by Rs 3 to Rs 350 per kg.

 Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):

 Zinc ingot Rs 104-110, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 900-905, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 350, Chadri deshi Rs 285.

 Lead ingot Rs 98, Lead imported Rs 99, Aluminium ingots Rs 152, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 153, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 155 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 152.
