Dollar Ticks Up After US Leading Index, Uni. Of Michigan's Business Sentiment

Detroit (Nov 27)  Reuters and the University of Michigan's final estimates for its business sentiment index rose to 75.1 in November. Economists expected an upward revision to the index to 73.3 from the mid-month reading of 72.0.

The Conference Board said its leading economic indicators index rose 0.2 percent month-over-month in October, compared to expectations for an increase of 0.1 percent following previous month's upwardly revised increase of 0.9 percent.

The US dollar strengthened against its major counterparts after the data. As of 10:03 am ET, the greenback was trading at 102.13 against the yen, 0.9068 against the Swiss franc, 1.6292 against the pound and 1.3585 against the euro.
