FOMC Minutes And U.S. Dollar In Focus

New York (May 20)  Gold and silver prices are slightly higher in Wednesday's pre-U.S. market trading. Tuesday's solid downside price action in these metals gave the bears some renewed technical strength and overall market momentum.

By 08:30am EST spot gold is up $1 to $1209, while silver edges up 4 cents to $17.14. Spot palladium rose $5 to $787, while platinum rose $3 to $1156.
