New Delhi-India (Feb 16)  Gold prices rose 0.27 per cent to Rs. 26,750 per 10 grams at the futures trade as speculators created fresh positions after the precious metal climbed for the third straight day in global markets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in April was up by Rs. 57 or 0.27 per cent to Rs. 26,750 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 107 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in June moved up by Rs. 47 or 0.17 per cent to Rs. 26,912 per 10 grams in a turnover of one lot.

Market analysts said persistent rise in prices of the precious metal in the global markets mainly influenced gold prices at the futures trade here.

Meanwhile, gold prices rose 0.3 per cent to $1,233.82 an ounce in Singapore, the highest since April 16.
