Gold price surges to 1 month high to Rs 29,760 in domestic market

Mumbai-India (April 12)  Prices of gold climbed over Rs 410 on April 12 to reach a level of one month high to Rs 29,760 per 10 grammes as reported by a leading news agency.

 

 Analysts observed that increase in gold prices could be due to geopolitical tensions which have resulted in consumers and local jewellers resorting to gold as a safe haven & to cater the upcoming wedding season in the country.

 

 Globally also the gold climbed a level of 5 months high to $1274.60 an ounce.

 

 Prices of silver also overtook levels of Rs 42,000 by increasing Rs. 925 to Rs. 42,750 per kg owing to higher demand.
