Gold Price Weaker, Pressured By Bearish Outside Markets

London (Dec 8)  Gold prices are lower in early U.S. trading. The feature in the marketplace recently has been the downdraft in crude oil prices. Nymex crude oil prices on Monday hit a nearly seven-year low of $37.50 a barrel. Slumping oil prices have had a bearish spillover effect on many other raw commodity markets, including the precious metals.
