Platinum and Palladium surge in wake of ECB lowering rates below zero

Frankfurt (June 5)  Spot Platinum  surged $12 to $1,439 an ounce, while spot palladium jumped $838. High-grade copper for July delivery   fell 1 cent to $3.09 a pound. Concerns that a Chinese probe into the use of metals for obtaining loans will hurt demand pushed copper to its biggest drop in seven weeks on Wednesday.
