Silver adds 0.2% in futures trade on global cues

New Delhi-India (Feb 16)  Silver prices gained 0.20 per cent to Rs 38,268 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions amid positive cues from overseas markets.

 At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May rose by Rs 77, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 38,609 per kg in a business turnover of 68 lots.

 March silver traded higher by Rs 64, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 38,268 per kg in 406 lots.

 Analysts said a better trend in precious metals in global markets influenced silver prices at futures trade here.

 Meanwhile, silver traded 0.06 per cent higher at $17.33 an ounce in Singapore.
