Silver futures down 0.45% on profit-booking
NEW DELHI-INDIA (July 12) Silver prices fell 0.45% to Rs 42,230 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid a weak trend in the global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver prices for delivery in December traded lower by Rs 192 or 0.45%, to Rs 42,230 per kg in business turnover of 37 lots.
Similarly, the white metal prices for delivery in September declined by Rs 166 or 0.40% to Rs 41,531 per kg in business volume of 2,341 lots.
In the international market, silver prices traded 1.19% lower at USD 19.91 an ounce in Singapore.
Market analysts said apart from the profit-booking by participants, a weak trend in the Asian region led to the fall in silver prices at futures trade here.
