Silver futures gain 0.8% on higher global trend
NEW DELHI-INDIA (July 9) Silver traded higher by 0.84% to Rs 40,726 per kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged their positions, taking positive cues from overseas markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September rose by Rs 338, or 0.84%, to Rs 40,726 per kg in business turnover of 3,639 lots.
Likewise, silver for delivery in December gained Rs 340, or 0.83%, to Rs 41,450 per kg in 61 lots.
Market analysts said speculators enlarged their positions, taking positive cues from overseas market mainly pushed up silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver jumped 1.7% to $19.43 an ounce in Singapore.
