Spot Silver at $19.20 per Ounce
NEW YORK (July 10) As traders awaited the minutes from the US Federal Reserve’s June policy meeting, silver prices for September delivery increased by $0.05, to $19.19 an ounce, on the COMEX in New York, Reuters reported. However, spot silver dropped by $0.03, to $19.20 per ounce.
The minutes from the central bank’s meeting should indicate whether the Fed will begin to curb its stimulus package over the next several months. Their release is scheduled for later today and will be followed by a talk from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.
