Stock Futures indicate lower opening as oil, gold slip
Toronto-Canada (Oct 19) Stock futures pointed to a lower opening for Canada's main stock index on Monday as commodity prices fell on concerns about the pace of economic growth in China.
December futures on the S&P TSX index SXFc1 were down 0.22 percent at 7:15 a.m. ET.
Canada's main stock index rose slightly on Friday, helped by a bounce back in Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc VRX.TO and gains in heavyweight financial stocks.
Dow Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were down 0.18 percent at 7:15 a.m. ET on Monday, while S&P 500 e-mini futures Esc1 were down 0.20 percent and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 were down 0.15 percent.
